Michael started his career in the allied health industry as a Remedial Massage Therapist. During this time, he realised the important connection between the mind and the body, understanding that what happens in the mind impacts the body and vice versa. Wanting to further his knowledge, he pursued a Bachelor of Counselling. While working as a counsellor, he observed that traditional talk therapy didn't work for everyone. Some people struggled with face-to-face sessions, maintaining eye contact, and discussing their traumas. This led him to explore alternative approaches, and he decided to pursue a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. This training introduced him to the concept of accessing the subconscious mind, which stores profound information while the conscious mind is relaxed and unguarded. This discovery prompted him to develop a new therapy approach called "Active Therapy". This approach involves engaging the client's conscious mind in an activity while allowing the therapist access to the subconscious mind. This reduces pressure on the client when addressing traumas or intense emotions.
